Comments: After a traumatic accident, I was handled cruelly by an orthopedic surgeon. My left hand was one of the injured parts. When I was released from the hospital I saw that I was to follow up with that surgeon and the person who repaired my hand. I refused to go. Dr. Patel was the person my PCP arranged for me to see. I was immediately impressed by his patience and compasssion.... neither of which I had received from the trauma surgeon.
